The Leicestershire Vales are an area of low-lying clay vales and river valleys. Farms were located in villages during the the Middle-ages but these migrated to the isolated farmsteads in medium to large farms after enclosure. There are now few villages with farms in them.
As a result few early barns in villages survive. One exception is the village of Cosby where there are three barns although I was not able to see inside any of them.
