Southern England

I have separated Wiltshire from the West Country and Hampshire and Surrey from South-East England because the barns and agriculture are rather different from the neighbouring regions.

It is itself a very varied region, from Salisbury Plain in the West to the New Forest in the East with a great swathe of downland running north-east to south-west through it. There is also a strong contrast between the inland areas and the coastline dominated by 2000 years of sea-faring and fortification.
