Wiltshire is another of the counties that I really enjoy. The Cotswolds reach down towards Wiltshire and the Marlborough Downs reach up towards Salisbury Plain so all the way you have great rolling landscapes and changes of view.

There are a lot of ancient monuments: Stonehenge, Kennet Long Barrow, Avebury, Waylands Smithy and Old Sarum, as well as  the Kennet and Avon Canal, Salisbury Cathedral  and the towns of Malmesbury and Shaftesbury with their ancient ruined abbeys.
