Court Lodge Barn - Lenham

Court Lodge was a demesne of St. Augustine’s. The barn was one of a pair, but unfortunately the other one was burned down. It is the largest barn of its type (160 ft long overall).  The main section is seven bays long with very regular post structure and long slender crown posts.

There is a an addition at one end, making it ten bays altogether. The extension was used for stabling at one time. Now the barn is used for community events and a regular art show, by the Pilgrims Way Artist, when it is possible to get inside and see this grand structure.
