As its name suggests, this museum is dedicated to preserving the buildings of the Chilterns. There are four barns as well as other farm buildings, a “flat-pack” church and magnificent Victorian cast-iron public conveniences.
One of the barns offers kits for constructing timber-framed buildings. There is also a reconstructed iron-age round-house. There are good paths all the way round so it is very pleasant for a stroll and a picnic. Click on the image on the left to go to the website for directions and opening times.
