Ken’s Great Barns - Places to Visit

Tretower Court and Castle was occupied for over 900 years. Starting off with a fortified manor in the twelfth century, with a round keep and a bailey (below, left).  When more settled times came, the owners built the more up-to-date Court (above & right) in the fourteenth century. This was updated and improved until the seventeenth century.

The family then left and it became a farm. Now it is in the ownership of Cadw (the Welsh Historic environment service) and some of the rooms have been restored to their fourteenth century glory.
