Faversham Joinery make “bespoke”  windows, hand crafted doors, staircases, conservatories, kitchens, unique gates etc. They are based in the two aisled barns that are all that can be seen above ground of Faversham Abbey.

The Minor Barn has a highly sophisticated crown-post roof which may indicate it was built earlier than the Major barn or it may incorporate a roof from an earlier building. As is common in Kentish barns the aisle posts are made from single tree trunks which have been inverted so that the wide bole is at the top to accommodate the complex joint involved. Two of the trees were obviously a little on the short side so the carpenters had to include part of the crown.
