Cooling Castle Barns, Kent

The barns at Cooling Castle date from the seventeenth century. The barns were part of the farm built in the outer bailey of the castle. The main barn is a Kentish, timber framed, aisled barn. It has queen post trusses supporting a clay tile roof. It stands next to the restored castle gate.

The barns and outbuildings have now been converted into a wedding venue. Guests can stay in newly built accommodation and can have breakfast at their leisure before attending the wedding or celebrate late into the night without worrying about getting back to their hotel.
