I came across this barn in the on-line newsletter of Norfolk Historic Buildings Group. On a recent visit to Norfolk, I was able to contact the owner and he took me down to see it. It is a timber-framed aisled barn built in the fifteenth century or earlier. Unfortunately it suffered catastrophic damage to the roof during a winter gale this year. A surveyor from the NFU was on site assessing the damage.
Inside only half of the barn is accessible because of the scaffolding but I was able to get one or two reasonable photographs. Andrew Perkins, a professional photographer, has given me permission to use one of his shots of the interior.
