Barn at Stokesay Castle,
Shropshire

Unfortunately this barn is not part of the Stokesay Castle site, but you can get some good views of the barn and farmyard from the castle keep.

The barn is timber-framed with clapboard cladding. It is probably seventeenth or eighteenth century. It has had a hay loft inserted at some point and has most recently been used as stabling and a cow shed.

Stokesay Castle itself is well worth a visit for the views from its keep and the wonderful oak trusses supporting the roof of the great hall.
