This barn in Drayton St. Leonard, Oxfordshire was built for the monks of Dorchester Abbey to house the tithes from their estates in the area. It is a splendid timber-framed, aisled barn of seven bays. It does not have the raised entrance door found in many barns, since the eaves are high enough to admit a laden wagon.
The barn now houses the Aston Martin Heritage Trust Archives and Museum. In the conversion for this purpose they have added a toilet block (below: left) Inside (right) a mezzanine floor has been inserted at one end to house offices. The rest of the barn displays classic Aston Martin Cars and Aston Martin memorabilia.
