It is sometimes difficult to name a barn. Most of them are just “the barn”. Some have names such as “Middle Littleton Tithe Barn”, in which case I have used the accepted name.
In some cases I have used the name given by the owner. In others I have used “barn at ….” or I have gone by the name of the place the village, house or farm: for example the barn in the Wye Agricultural Museum at Brook is listed under B.
In some cases the barns are housed in an open-air museum, in which case I have used the name of the museum eg. the barns at the Weald & Downland Museum are listed under W. Some barns now house museums, collections or other items in which case I have used the name of the collection.
