Upminster Tithe Barn,

Upminster Tithe Barn is located on Hall Lane in Upminster. It used to be in Essex but is now in Greater London. The hall in question used to be a hunting lodge for the abbots of Waltham Abbey and the barn was probably built in 1450.

It is a timber-framed, aisled barn but rather than being of the Essex type, Rigold suggests it is a Kentish style barn. It is 45 metres long and 12 metres wide with a central midstrey. It is now a Museum with artefacts from town and country in its collection.
