The barn by the traffic island at Wolseley Bridge on the A51 originally came from a place called Parchfields. Along with other buildings from around Staffordshire, it was rescued and re-sited here.
It is a typical midland box-framed barn with brick infill and a clay tile roof. The roof is supported by triangualr trusses with raked struts to the principal rafters which each hold a trenched purlin. There are arched windbraces to the purlins and diagonal braces to the wall plate. It is now an antiques and architectural salvage sales room.
