Barn at Parson’s Hall Farm

John and Nicki Beavan bought Parsons Hall Farm, in Kyre, Worcestershire, when it was a derelict farmstead intending to convert it into a family home and business. Using John’s skills as a cabinet maker, supplemented by the work of local crafts people, they rescued the fourteenth century, cruck, hall house, restoring the thatched roof and linking it to the originally separate kitchen building.

Although they had planning permission to convert the seventeenth century tithe barn into a dwelling, they decided to restore it to its original form and keep it as a venue. They now run a number of businesses including two luxurious tree house retreats via their website. Search “Parsons Hall Farm” for details.
