The Old Kent Barn, Kent

The Old Kent Barn (right) is a typical timber-framed, aisled, Kent Barn. It has been converted to accommodation for wedding parties. A mezzanine floor has been inserted, but the ancient oak beams and braces still provide a mellow and romantic atmosphere to the rooms.

Next door they have built a brand new, aisled barn for the wedding ceremonies (below). This excellent new build uses traditional methods and pegged joints. The lighting, furniture and facilities are beautifully designed and executed.
