Llanthony Secunda Priory was established in Gloucester by the canons of Llanthony Priory when they were driven out of their priory in Wales, by raiding Welsh.
Only a small part of the medieval priory has survived, including the great barn. What remains of this gives a good idea of the size and quality of the original building.
It stands in a public park next to Gloucestershire College, Gloucester Campus, Llanthony Rd., Gloucester GL2 5JQ, just down river from Gloucester Docks. The surviving domestic buildings are being restored and are administered by a charitable trust.
