Garstang Tithe Barn, Lancashire

This barn has a date stone of 1710 and it may be the post-medieval tithe barn for the market town of Garstang in Lancashire. It is now a public house. Although he had not opened yet, the landlord allowed me to photograph the interior.

It has been considerably altered with various partitions and a fireplace being inserted, but the roof trusses look original and it still has the large hospitable feel of all barns.

It is situated next to a picturesque canal basin. Although it was raining when we visited, it looks like a very pleasant spot to visit on a nice day.
