Two timber framed barns, one from Waterend and the other from Little Hormead, were moved to the centre of St. Albans, Hertfordshire, in the twentieth century. They now form a Wetherspoon’s bar and restaurant. Little Hormead Barn is the smaller of the two barns. It was relocated from Little Hormead near Buntingford in 1964.
It appears to have been encased in a modern, brick structure but inside it retains a lot of the original timber work. It is of post and truss construction and probably dates from the sixteenth century. It has five bays and heavier timbers than Waterend Barn.
