Wellingborough tithe barn in Northamptonshire, was probably built in the middle of the fifteenth century for Croyland Abbey. It is a six bay barn, 23 metres long and 6½ metres wide, with banded ironstone and limestone walls and a thatched roof. There are cart entrances to bays 2 and 5 but they have now been blocked.
Some original roof timbers may remain, but most of them were replaced in the twentieth century. The barn is now used as a community hall supported by Wellingborough Tithe Barn Preservation Society. Search “Wellingborough Tithe Barn” for events.
