Donington le Heath Manor

Donington le Heath Manor is a small manor house, originally built at the end of the thirteenth century. The house was ‘modernised’ in 1618. It now belongs to Leicestershire County Council and is run as a museum.

The manor barn is now the tea room. The roof trusses have been replaced, but the thick stone walls look original.

The manor is open from the middle of February to the middle of December. See their website (button on the left) for opening times and a full history of the manor.
