Barns in Leighterton

Leighterton is a small village in Gloucestershire. At one time it had a number of farms each with its own barn, as well as the manor farm barn and the tithe barn. Most of these have now been converted into dwellings, but we did find one barn in the village which was still in agricultural use.

The barn (shown below) is a three bay barn with a large wagon porch on the north side. There is a loft and dovecote above it. It now houses a grain dryer and hopper for loading trailers.  However most of the original structure is still intact.
