Wingfield Barns is a complex of agricultural buildings at College Farm in Suffolk. The farm used to serve the nearby collegiate church of St. Andrew. It houses art galleries and a conference and wedding venue. It is run as a Community Interest Company to deliver “cultural, educational and artistic programmes to both the immediate and wider community”.
The main barn is a sixteenth century timber-framed barn with seventeenth century additions. The wall posts are braced to the tie-beams with arched braces which support queen-posts also with arched braces. It is now seven bays long and incorporates a conference room and tea room. The remaining buildings house shops and artists’ studios.
