Titchfield Abbey Barn,
Hampshire

Titchfield Abbey Barn in Titchfield, Hampshire is a fine timber-framed, aisled barn. The barn is approximately 50m long by 15m wide, with timbers dated by dendrochronology to 1407-1409.

It has eight bays, but each bay is sub-divided by an extra truss cantilevered from the wall posts. The west side and south end were re-clad in flint and brick, possibly with material from the abbey after its dissolution. The east side and north end have the traditional clapboard cladding.

The barn has been converted into a theatre and is also used as an event and wedding venue. Visit the website to find out about public events.
