Arley Hall Tudor Barn Restaurant,Cjhesire

The Tudor barn at Arley Hall in Cheshire was built in about 1602. It is brick built and belongs with the other great barns of the period as at Basing House in Hampshire, The Duke of Northumberland’s stables at Kenilworth castle and the barn at Hales Hall in Norfolk.

It has a slate roof, supported by queen post trusses. It has undergone a lot of changes, particularly in the twentieth century. It is now a restaurant. The gallery at one end gives you a chance to get up closer to the roof trusses. The whole complex with the Hall and barns is open to the public.
