Eltham Tudor Barn

Eltham Tudor Barn is a brick built farm building next to a large moat in Well Hall Pleasaunce Park. It was originally part of an estate belonging to the family of Sir Thomas More. It is not clear whether it was a barn or stables to the great house or a combination of both. However it is obviously a high status building similar to other tudor barns and houses.

It is now a restaurant with a wedding and entertainment venue on the floor above. Here you can see the beautiful timber trusses which along with its impressive size make it one of the “great barns” of London.
