The Hall was built in 1507 and claims to be the oldest surviving family home in Lancashire. The barn dates from the seventeenth century. It is a typical pennine stone barn with high walls pierced by ventilation slots and the occasional “shovehole” inserted when the barn was used for animals rather than crop storage.
The Hall and garden are open to visitors and the barn houses a tea room. It houses Farmers’ Markets and other events and is also available for events. Check their website for more information.
