Henham Barns, Suffolk

The Great Barn at Henham Park is a Grade II listed, seventeenth century, timber framed, threshing barn. It was restored to its present condition by Hektor & Sarah Rous in 2015 . The major changes have been the insertion of glass doors in the wagon entrances, which allow more light into the barn, and a polished cement floor with under-floor heating. Otherwise the arched braces to the tie beams and the rest of the frame have been cleaned and repaired where necessary but otherwise left as they were originally.

I was fortunate enough to be allowed in during preparation for a fashion show and was able to get lots of photographs in natural light which shows off its beauty and strong, clean lines to advantage.

This beautiful barn is now a venue for weddings and other events. It is only open at these times and you should check the website for notice of public events or to enquire about hiring the venue.
