Sandiacre Barn

Sandiacre Barn originally stood on a farm in Sandiacre in Derbyshire. It was one of the few timber framed, aisled barns in Derbyshire but had fallen into decay and was moved to Leicestershire for conservation and repair and then re-erected at the Bosworth Battle Field Visitor Centre there.

It has passing-braces from the  wall-plates to the aisle-posts, passing midway though the wall-tie and arched-braces between the aisle posts and the tie beams. There are arched wind-braces to the purlins. It now houses a restaurant and is protected from further decay by the barn like structure around it.
