When I photographed this barn in august 2012 it was in a sorry state and I was not able to see inside. I carried out some research and found that it is quite and unusual and interesting one. It dates from the late sixteenth century, but the hammer beam roof inside dates to the fifteenth century and has been moved from another building, possibly one of the buildings at the nearby Milton Abbey.

As you can see it is gabled with a gabled wagon porch.The walls are built of banded flint and rubble with an ashlar finish.  The roof tiles are nineteenth century and in need of repair. I have recently read that repairs are hopefully in hand.
