Welcome

I have visited and photographed threshing barns for over ten years. I am fascinated by their structure, the variety within one form of building and their former importance to the community. I have not included links to websites as changes in ownership and the vicissitudes of time mean that many details have changed since my visit. If you want to find out more you will have to search using the details of the site name and location.

I have travelled all over England visiting barns and giving illustrated talks to local societies. If you belong to a local history society or have an interesting barn in your area, please get in touch.

I also give Illustrated Talks with Scale Models & Information Boards

Individual Visits

I’m now having to completely restructure my website,
so I’m afraid most of it will be off line for a while.
My apologies and thank you for your patience.
I have now completed the Index of Barns
with just over 330 barns listed.
